Rose Stalk
Transversal section through a rose stalk.

This micrograph is of a transvesal section of a rose stalk taken using polarized light. The white thick cell wall are sclerenchyma, which provide support to the plant. The large vascular bundle shows xylem and phloem, which are other types of tissues used in the transportation of water, sugar, and dissolved minerals throughout the plant.

Rose stalk earrings

Each piece is individually created, so there are small differences between all the finished pairs of earrings. The final enameled piece is attached to a Sterling silver ear wire that has been given patina to darken the silver.
